This is my entry for the fanart contest for A Redtail's Dream, a really nifty Finnish webcomic I ran across a month or two back. It follows Hannu and his dog Ville as they travel through a dream world to save their village. I did my best to show all the worlds they traveled through; the author Minna Sundberg did a really good job of creating distinct worlds with incredible detail and different color schemes. I did my best to emulate the paint style she uses, but I've never done that before, so, well, y'know... I did my best. (click here to view a larger size file)
Hannu and Ville and these neat little worlds are Copyright Minna Sundberg, all rights reserved. This is a fanart, and none of these characters or environments belong to me. You should TOTALLY go check out the webcomic at www.minnasundberg.fi/index.php, and you should also totally go buy a book for the print drive she's running! Help support an amazing independent artist: www.indiegogo.com/projects/a-r… .
Original drawing drawn on two 300-weight sheets of 11x17" bristol, inked with Winsor & Newton Series 7 #2 sable brush. Colored in Adobe CS5.
