Back in 2010, when I got my very first Pentel Pocketbrush Pen, my dad asked me if I wouldn't mind drawing him some raccoons to post around his office (my dad loves raccoons, and who can blame him?). This was the very first of 8 drawings I did for him.
As you can see, I had absolutely no grasp of shading or depth; in fact I barely had a grasp of drawing with my new brush-pen. The lines are terribly shaky; the only thing keeping me from being ashamed of them is the fact I'd had this pen for maybe a week when I drew this, if even that. This was drawn February 5th, 2010, almost 3 years ago. I like to think there's been some improvement in my inking since then, but that's all in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. Most of these drawings took maybe 30-60 minutes, tops. I was still learning and experimenting, so I didn't set overly high expectations for myself in the interest of preserving my sanity. None of the Office Raccoon drawings in this section of the gallery have been edited in Photoshop, so you can admire them in all their mistake-ridden glory.
